Plasma Light

About plasma light

Non-surgical eyelid surgery – the hottest news in the beauty industry!

A revolutionary electrostatic technology now allows for tightening sagging skin both on the face and the body, without any knives or injections!

The treatment is entirely superficial, meaning that no holes are pierced or work is done inside the skin. As long as the aftercare instructions are followed correctly, there are no risks associated with the treatment.

More about plasma light

Uses:

Tightening of loose skin, e.g.

  • dropped eyelids,
  • bags under the eyes,
  • "turkey neck"
  • "hamster bags" on the neck and cheeks.
  • correction of deeper wrinkles, fine lines, and uneven skin.
  • correction of scars, stretch marks, milia, pits, and irregularities.
  • correction of age spots, pigmentation spots, and broken blood vessels.

Advantages compared to surgery:

  • Fast healing and recovery. You can go to work right after!
  • No risk of scars or infections.
  • No risk of removing too much skin.
  • The skin quality in the treated area is improved.

How it works:

The plasma pen has a tip that converts current into an electrostatic impulse. When the tip gets close to the skin, a mix of oxygen and nitrogen is created that emits a flash of plasma light. For a fraction of a second, a microchannel opens in the skin, and the heat from the plasma flash causes excess fluid to vaporize from the skin, resulting in immediate tightening. The superficial "damage" that occurs stimulates the skin's renewal of fibroblasts, which are an important part of the skin's self-healing and collagen production.

Procedure:

The area to be treated is numbed with cream for 10-45 minutes before treatment, depending on which ointment is used. Then, the plasma pen "burns" over the area to be treated. There are three different techniques with different functions depending on the treatment area and purpose. For eyelid lifting, small dots are burned in a specific 5-point pattern, which is the most effective method for tightening the skin.

After treatment:

Immediately after treatment, the small brownish spots are clearly visible, and some redness and swelling may occur. Some clients may experience swelling on the upper and lower lids for up to three days, which then decreases. Since the treatment is superficial and no wounds occur, minerals makeup can be applied over the spots.  The spots will turn into dry small scabs that fall off after 5-7 days. Swelling may occur in the first 2-5 days and decreases after 3-5 days, and can be reduced with cold packs. If treating the eyes, significant swelling around the eyes may occur on the third or fourth day.
Some redness may be visible on the skin for up to 6 weeks after treatment. It is important to protect the treated skin with a high sunscreen factor for the first 3 months after treatment to avoid the risk of hyperpigmentation, etc.

NOTE! Risks of treatment: Wound infection, Poor wound healing, Hyperpigmentation (spf 50 should be used for at least 3 months after).

Results:

Depending on skin type, age, area, and intensity of treatment, results are individual. Only a certain amount of skin can be tightened at each treatment session, so people with a lot of excess skin may need several treatments. 2-4 treatments have been shown to be optimal for individuals with a lot of excess skin.

Durability:

The skin tightening achieved is permanent, but the skin will continue to age as usual afterwards.
Diet, lifestyle, and skin care are factors that affect skin aging and the ability to maintain good results.
